DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

From city celebrations to coastal escapes

Hello, I’m Tanya

If you’re newly engaged and looking for a Cornwall wedding photographer or Devon wedding photographer to capture your day in a natural, honest way, you’re in the right place.

From my base in beautiful Bude, I photograph weddings across the South West, London and throughout the UK, and travel for destination weddings throughout Europe for couples who want their day remembered as it was, and how it really felt.

I’m also incredibly lucky to live in Cornwall, one of the most beautiful places to get married, from the coastal cliffs to the many beautiful countryside venues. It’s always a privilege to photograph weddings here.

I’ve spent more than twelve years capturing over 400 weddings across Europe, creating timeless wedding photography with friendliness, attention, and genuine care. I’m also lucky to have my husband Julian as my assistant and teammate along the way.

Head over to my About page to learn more about me and what it would be like to work together on your wedding photography.

Timeless Wedding Stories from a Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Over 400 weddings and events photographed with care, and delivered with complete peace of mind.

Hundreds of ‘I dos’ later, the highlight hasn’t changed: the wonderful couples I get to meet along the way.

Wedding Photography FAQs

I know that from being a bride myself, planning a wedding comes with lots of questions. Here are answers to some of the things my couples often ask about my wedding photography, packages, and what it’s like to work with me as their wedding photographer.

Having been a bride myself, I want you to fully enjoy your wedding day. My goal is for you to relax and celebrate, knowing your wedding photography is covered.

I’m naturally calm, organised and quietly observant. I’ll step in with gentle direction when you need it, and fade into the background when you don’t.

Most of my couples choose between 10 and 12 hours of wedding photography to capture the full story of the day.

If you’re planning a smaller wedding, 6 hours can be perfect for covering the ceremony, group photos, and key moments of the reception. I also offer bespoke coverage for intimate celebrations, ceremony-only weddings, or elopements.

You can explore my wedding photography packages and pricing for more details, or get in touch and I’ll be happy to help you decide what coverage suits your plans best.

Wedding photography prices can vary depending on the photographer’s experience and the amount of coverage you need. My wedding photography packages start from 6 hours, with options for 10 and 12 hour coverage to capture the full story of the day.

For smaller celebrations, elopements, or ceremony-only weddings, I also offer bespoke wedding photography coverage starting from two hours.

Not at all. Most of my couples say this when they first enquire about their wedding photography.

You don’t need to know how to pose, and I’m definitely not a shouty photographer. I’ve experience from over 400 weddings, and I know how to keep everything relaxed, give gentle direction when needed, and make it all feel easy and natural. And on the day, I’ll be right there encouraging you and making sure you feel amazing.

I describe it as relaxed, editorial reportage.

Which means I capture your wedding day as it unfolds, preserving all of those real moments and emotions. When the time is right, I also step in when needed to create beautifully composed portraits that still feel like you, to give you those magazine-style images.

I work with natural light wherever possible and focus on clean, timeless tones, and avoid heavy trends, so you photos will still feel beautiful and timeless decades from now.

Every photographer wants your images to look beautiful, and it’s important to me that I capture your wedding day beautifully. But what matters more to me is that they feel like your day, and not a styled shoot.

That’s why I show full weddings in my portfolio, so you can see how I can tell whole the story of your day. And you’ll see how I can capture all of those moments you may be too busy to see on the day.

You’ll receive a carefully edited, storytelling gallery. not just a handful of highlights. To get a sense of my storytelling style, please take a look at my portfolio.

Typical gallery sizes are:

  • 12 hours: approx. 1000 images
  • 10 hours: approx. 800 images
  • 6 hours: approx. 500 images
  • 2 hours: approx. 200 images
  • Engagement session: approx. 100 images

Every image is individually refined for colour and tone so your gallery feels cohesive, timeless and ready to print.

As part of my professional editing process, RAW (unedited) files are not provided, as the delivered images represent my final artistic work.

Your full wedding gallery is typically delivered within around four weeks. During busy periods in peak wedding season, delivery may take a little longer, but I’ll always keep you updated on the progress.

Absolutely. I always bring multiple professional camera bodies, lenses, memory cards, and lighting equipment with backups of everything that is essential.

Since your wedding is once-in-a-lifetime, I think it is incredibly important to be prepared with duplicate equipment. So, if anything unexpected happens, your wedding day continues to be photographed without any interruptions.

Your photos are yours to enjoy! You’ll have personal usage rights, which means you can print them, share them, post them, frame them, send them to family abroad, whatever you like, as long as it’s non-commercial.

I retain copyright (which is standard for photographers), and I may share them in my portfolio or on social media. If you’d prefer I didn’t, just let me know before the day.

Yes. I’m based in Bude, Cornwall, and photograph weddings across Cornwall, Devon, London and throughout the UK, as well as destination weddings across Europe.

Travel is part of the adventure for me, and if your wedding is somewhere meaningful to you, please get in touch, I’d love to chat about it.

Absolutely. After more than a decade photographing over 400 weddings and events, I’ve worked in every condition imaginable, from candlelit venues, harsh midday sun, sideways Cornwall rain, to snowy lodges in Eastern Europe. You name it, I’ve probably done it!

I come fully prepared with professional lighting and backup equipment, but more importantly, experience. Challenging conditions don’t worry me, and they just make the story more interesting.

I’m usually joined by my husband, Julian, and honestly, I couldn’t do the day the same way without him.

While I’m fully focused on photographing your wedding, Julian is the calm behind the scenes. He drives, helps with the flow of the day, carries and helps set up the ever-growing collection of cameras and lenses and equipment, rounds people up when needed, and somehow always appears at exactly the right time. Couples often say how reassuring it is to have him there.

So although I’m your wedding photographer, you’re really getting the support of a small, very dedicated team.

Firstly, I want to reassure you! After 12 years and over 400 weddings and events, I’ve never missed a booking.

If something genuinely unexpected were to happen, you wouldn’t be left figuring things out on your own. I have a wonderful network of trusted photographers with a very similar style and approach to mine, and I would personally find the best available options for your date. You’d be able to choose the person who feels right for you, and I would of course refund you in full.

Hopefully it’s something we’ll never need, but it’s important to me that you know you’d be completely looked after, no matter what.

Yes. I offer relaxed 1-hour engagement sessions, which are a great way of getting comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. Couples often use the photos for save-the-dates or social media.

You’ll receive around 100 fully edited images from the session.

Sessions are £250 within 30 miles of Bude (Cornwall/Devon), or £175 when booked alongside a full wedding photography package. For locations further afield, just get in touch for a travel quote.

Yes. When you receive your gallery, you’ll have access to a professional online store where you can order photobooks, fine art prints, wall art and more, directly from professional labs. But there’s absolutely no obligation to buy anything. You’re free to download your images and print them wherever you like.

Many couples book their wedding photographer 9–18 months in advance, particularly for popular summer dates in Cornwall, Devon and London.

However, booking patterns have changed in recent years and I quite often receive enquiries much closer to the wedding date. So even if your plans are coming together quickly, it’s always worth checking availability.

Just send me a message, we’ll check availability, and have a proper chat about your wedding plans. If we’re a good fit, I’ll send over a booking form and contract. A deposit then officially books you in.

From there, I’ll offer guidance where needed, and stay in touch, so everything feels relaxed and well planned before your wedding day arrives.

The best photos happen when you’re not thinking about being photographed. So laugh loudly, give those big bear hugs, and let loose on the dancefloor!

Your job is to enjoy your wedding day with the person you love. My job is to capture your story so you and your loved ones always have a way to relive it.

Yes! Julian and I have had the honour of being witnesses for several couples who have chosen to elope in Cornwall or Devon or have had a very intimate wedding ceremony.

If you’re planning a wedding where it’s just the two of you, we’re always happy to help make the moment official and support you however we can.

Yes. Alongside weddings, I also photograph private celebrations and corporate events in Cornwall, Devon, London, and across the UK, including anniversaries, birthday parties, brand launches and company events.

If you’re planning a celebration or corporate event and would like natural, professional event photography, please get in touch or visit the Events & Celebrations page to learn more.
